There have been a lot of questions about Shakeology lately and the importance of it, and I wanted to share with you some info ! :) 


Here are some misconceptions of Shakeology:

Misconception #1 = Shakeology is a protein shake. ( ah this makes me cringe!) but I get it, I really do understand why people think so. The term "protein shake" has become nearly an interchangeable term for ANY shake. What Shakeology really is, is a nutrient dense MEAL replacement. By replacement, all that means is that shakeology is equivalent to 5 plates of salad! I do love me some salad, but there is no way i'm eating 5 a day! Shakeology makes it easy to cut your calories low WITHOUT cutting the daily volume of nutrients needed! If you want the truth, people are WAY MORE nutrient deficient then they are protein deficient. So why stop at a protein shake?

Misconception #2 Shakeology is about comparing carbs, fats and proteins. No guys, it's about everything else! The quality of all the ingredients ( 70+ super foods ), where they come from, and what they can do for your overall health! It's about what shakeology DOESN'T have in it and that is NO artificial sweeteners, NO artificial flavors, NO soy, NO artificial stimulants. The sweetener in shakeology, stevia, is plant based.

Misconception #3 Shakeology is Expensive. If you think so , then i'm not doing my job to break down it's true value. Most people would agree that you are spending between 4-8 dollars on a healthy meal. Even the store bought salads, etc are about the same price and they are not even coming close to the nutrient value that shakeology has. So if you stop with the fast food, grabbing on the go, and REPLACE that expense with shakeology, it is very affordable! That even means replacing the cost of your vitamins, too! Sure, there might be instances where you need a specific vitamin based on your condition, but overall I have saved SO MUCH money every single month. When was the last time you went to the grocery store and bought 30 meals at once? Buying a bag of shakeology is buying 30 meals up front! Subtract that from your grocery bill like we do!

Misconception #4 Shakeology is a weight loss product. Again, I get it. Most shakes are marketed this way so it's easy for someone to assume that. Just because you are drinking a shake, doesn't mean fat is going to melt off of you. ANYTHING will induce weight loss when it's low in calories. But the truth is, if you are just cutting calories and not getting the proper nutrients you are just going to inhibit your weight loss efforts. Shakeology is for your HEALTH. When you fuel your body with the nutrients it needs to develop, heal , recover, and repair you will ultimately have more energy, less cravings, and feel BETTER encouraging you to be more active aka WEIGHT LOSS! To be more clear, when was the last time you dieted and felt miserable? tired? moody? tons of cravings? You were nutrient deficient! It's nearly impossible to have a perfect diet and cut calories without cutting the nutrients you need on a daily basis. So that's it, shakeology is a BY PRODUCT of weight loss. And if you don't need to lose weight, you can use it as your meal base and add calories and get your dense dose of daily nutrition. Let's face it, not everyone needs to lose weight. But everyone needs to be healthier!





Chocolate Banana Nutter: 1 tbsp PB, ½ banana, 1 cup water, 1 scoop choc shakeO

Pumpkin Pie: ½ cup canned pumpkin puree, ½ tsp cinnamon, ½ tsp nutmeg, 1 cup milk or almond milk, 1 scoop choc shakeO

*Banana Split: ½ Banana, 2 pineapple slices, 2 strawberries, 1 cup water, 1 scoop choc shakeO

Fruit and Nutty: 1 tbsp PB, ½ cup raspberries, ½ cup blackberries, 1 cup almond milk, choc shakeO

Chocolate shake: 8 ounces water & ice OR almond milk, one scoop of choc shakeO



Vanilla Almond: 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1 tbsp PB, 1 scoop Vanilla ShakeO

Tiramisu: 1 cup brewed coffee (cooled) , 1 tbsp mascarpone, 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa, ½ tsp rum extract, ½ tsp cinnamon, 1 scoop vanilla shakeO

Vanilla Nog: ½ cup milk, ½ cup water, 1 tsp rum extract, ¼ tsp ground nutmeg, vanilla shakeO

*Nutty Butter: 1 cup milk, ½ med banana, ½ cup water, ¼ cup chopped walnuts, 1 tbsp PB, vanilla shakeO

Apple Oatmeal: ½ cup unsweet apple sauce, 1 cup almond milk, 1 tbsp rolled oats, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, vanilla shakeO

Iced Mocha: ½ cup unsweet almond milk, ½ cup brewed coffee, 1 tsp unsweet cocoa, vanilla shakeO



Greek Strawberry Banana: 1 cup water, ½ cup nonfat plain yogurt, ½ medium banana, straw shakeO

Strawberry Pecan Cream: 1 cup almond milk, 1 tbsp PB, 1 tsp raw honey, straw ShakeO

Dark Moon: 1 cup almond milk, ½ cup blackberries, 2 tbsp raw pecans, straw shakeO

Strawberry- Kiwi: 1 cup water, 1 medium kiwi ( peeled, cut in chunks) , straw shakeO

Peaches and Berries: 1 cup unsweet almond milk, ½ cup strawberries, ½ cup peaches, 1 tbsp lemon juice, straw shakeO



Orange sunrise: ½ cup OJ, ½ cup water, greenberry shakeO

Very berry squeeze: ½ cup strawberries, ½ cup raspberries, ½ cup OJ, ½ cup water, greenberry shakeO

Pineapple a go go: ½ cup pineapple juice, ½ cup banana, ½ cup water, greenberry shakeO

Apple Breeze: ½ cup apple juice, ½ cup raspberries, ½ cup water, greenberry shakeO
